Why relationships are the hidden infrastructure of AI transformation

Artificial intelligence is often described as a technology revolution. But after leading large-scale transformations across multiple organizations, I’ve come to believe that the greatest challenge isn’t the technology itself. It is building the trust and alignment that enable people to embrace change.

Today’s leaders must be “bridgers” who use emotional intelligence and contextual understanding to foster trust, influence, and commitment that move transformation forward.

I’m honored to be featured in a CIO.com article, “Why Relationships Are the Hidden Infrastructure of AI Transformation.” In it, I share why successful AI adoption and lasting transformation are built on relationships, trust, and leadership that brings people together around a shared purpose.

The article also explores my PATH leadership framework, Purpose, Agility, Trust, and Humanity, and why I believe these qualities will become even more valuable as AI continues to reshape how organizations operate. As machines automate more work, the uniquely human capabilities of building trust, navigating ambiguity, and inspiring collaboration will increasingly define exceptional leadership.

Whether you’re a CIO, technology leader, business executive, or simply interested in the future of leadership, I hope these perspectives encourage you to view AI transformation through a different lens. Technology may accelerate change, but relationships determine whether organizations move forward together.

I hope you enjoy the article, and I look forward to hearing your thoughts.
